Synopsis

The episode starts off with Connor, Amaya, and Greg entering the new dinosaur exhibit in the museum. Connor takes this chance to play a joke on Amaya. He hides behind a T-Rex cutout and scares her when she passes by, causing her to bump into one of the dinosaur skeleton models, its head falling on her. Connor finds it funny, though he apologizes about what happened, but Amaya is angry at him for scaring her.

Greg tells Connor and Amaya to stop arguing and look at the models. Amaya tells Connor to apologize to her, and he proceeds to do so, until Greg points out that the pterodactyl model has been stolen. That night, the PJ Masks are about to take the Cat-Car to look for the model when Owlette tells Catboy to apologize about scaring her earlier. He says sorry to her, and the team gets in the vehicle; however, Owlette wants his big apology.

The team drives around town as a mysterious shadow flies out and follows them. Catboy asks Owlette to use her Owl Eyes for any possible chance that Romeo may be behind this theft. She’ll do so, but only if he’ll apologize to her. Despite doing so before, Catboy apologizes again, but before he could repeat his request to Owlette, Gekko sees the pterodactyl model heading straight for them. The team swerves out of its way and hides as it appears again and roars.

The model lands to confirm Romeo as the villain controlling it. He heads straight towards the team again and moves out of the way when Catboy fires furballs from the Cat-Car’s grille. Romeo explains that he is first going to scare the townspeople with the pterodactyl model. After that, he will steal the rest of the dinosaur models from the museum and take over the world as he scares everyone with them.

Romeo scares the PJ Masks again and flies away as he laughs at his joke. He goes into the forest where he sees a gray cat resting on one of the trees. He scares it as practice for scaring the team again, though it lands on the model and blocks his view. He loses control and crashes into the bushes while the cat safely lands on another tree. The pterodactyl model is badly damaged from the impact.

The PJ Masks drive into the forest and hide behind the trees to see Romeo fixing the model. Owlette agrees to help stop him, but only if Catboy will apologize to her about earlier. Annoyed, Catboy tells her that he did already, and that it was a joke. She remains adamant and decides to stop Romeo herself, who is now finished and about to take off. As Catboy prepares to jump towards the villain before he escapes, Gekko tries to warn him that Owlette is doing the same thing. Despite that, they both head towards Romeo, and they crash into other while the model takes off.

Catboy and Owlette blame each other for letting Romeo escape and argue about how she can’t accept his apology about him scaring her as a joke. After Romeo comes in and mocks how they’re quarreling with each other, Catboy leaps up to grab the model’s tail to prevent him from leaving, holding on tight while he tries shaking him off. He jumps on a branch when he approaches it to board the model, but causes it to lose control. Owlette decides to help out, only to bump into the model when she catches up.

Romeo drops the remote control, and Catboy holds on to the model's tail again when he falls off. Gekko catches the remote, and after struggling for a bit, he takes Romeo for a ride as Catboy safely lands on the ground. Romeo jumps to the rooftop of his lab, and the model is retrieved. Owlette is still upset, however; she can’t give up the fact believing that Catboy won’t realize that his joke at the museum wasn’t funny to her. She refuses to make up with him despite his attempts to do so, and flies away.

Catboy takes the remote control from Gekko and hops on the pterodactyl model to completely fix his friendship with Owlette. He ignores the warning that it’s hard to control it, and unsteadily takes off into the town. He struggles to gain control, but he drops the remote where Romeo is. Romeo takes this opportunity to fly the model recklessly with Catboy on board before he obtains it. Gekko calls Owlette, who is sadly sitting on one of the chimneys, for help.

Owlette hears Gekko’s voice and flies over to see Catboy tightly hanging onto the model. He had to take it to catch up with her because he wanted to ensure that he was sincere about his apology and that they’re still friends. However, Romeo has gained control again after he dropped the remote. Owlette realizes this was all her fault because of her adamance about what happened earlier. She confirms that she is still friends with Catboy, and she reaches out to save him.

After gagging from overhearing their conversation, Romeo moves the model away from Owlette. She is able to quickly catch up with Catboy while she apologizes, though, and finally decides to make it up to him. They both grab onto each other, and Catboy kicks the model to the ground. Romeo takes cover into a pile of trash bags as it comes towards him and drops his remote again. Gekko retrieves the model, and he uses it to chase the villain away. The PJ Masks announce their signature victory phrase.

The next day, the kids observe the pterodactyl model, which is back on display. This time, Cameron is the one to scare Amaya with the T-Rex cutout. Connor scolds him for scaring her, especially since it upset her so much yesterday. He tells Cameron to be sincere when he apologizes, but Amaya forgives him anyway since it was only a joke.

The pterodactyl model roars, scaring everyone out of the exhibit. Greg apologizes since he was the one who caused it and couldn’t resist; however, the model roars again. Everyone believes that it is actually alive for a brief moment until the gray cat from last night appears. They gather around as it nuzzles onto Greg and laugh as the episode ends.

    • When Owlette left, it is implied that Gekko would've talked to her.
  • Connor playing a joke on Amaya that ends up scaring her is similar to Cat Noir's civilian form Adrien playing a prank on Ladybug's civilian form Marinette in the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir episode "The Puppeteer 2."
    • Both played jokes when visiting a museum, and both girls' immediate reactions are screaming before saying that it is not funny, and both boys attempted and succeeded in repairing their friendship with the girls.

Errors

  • While Connor, Amaya, And Greg are looking at the dinosaurs, a Dimetrodon is found. The Dimetrodon live in the Paleozoic Era, not the Mesozoic Era. However, it may be possible that the kids are in a prehistoric exhibit.
