Synopsis
The episode starts off with the class taking a book home. Greg struggles to get his at the top shelf, so he climbs up, declining Connor’s offer to get it for him and ignoring Amaya’s warning. He slips and falls off while Connor catches the book. He is upset, believing that his friends are just looking after him since he is the youngest. Although they respond that this is what friends do, he states that he can take care of himself. The class runs out to catch the bus, but it’s nowhere, so the teacher decides to call their parents to pick them up instead.
That night, Catboy and Owlette consider taking either the Cat-Car or the Owl-Glider to easily catch up with the bus or spot it in the air, respectively. Gekko insists on using the Gekko-Mobile so he can show that he can do things himself, especially with its features. Despite telling him that the PJ Masks help each other, they comply. Gekko gets upset when Catboy presses his symbol icon on the PJ Picture Player, but he brushes this off.
Driving into town, the school bus appears for a brief moment before disappearing. Catboy and Owlette use their Cat Ears and Owl Eyes to track it down until one of them spots something arriving at the town square. Gekko drives over there alone, camouflages his vehicle, and parks on the walls. He sees Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos painting and decorating the school bus with ninja accessories and goes out to confront them.
Since the team always catches up to him in their vehicles, Night Ninja is remaking the school bus into his very own vehicle that will be better than them, especially the Gekko-Mobile. The ninjas sticky-splat it after Gekko reveals it to show what it can do and drive off. Catboy and Owlette arrive and tell Gekko that if he goes off on his own and gets in trouble, then they can’t look after him. He responds that he can protect himself, unsticks his vehicle, and drives after the school bus without them again.
A few moments later, Gekko arrives to see the Ninja Bus complete with a huge engine and Sticky Splat wheels that Night Ninja believes will make it better than his vehicle. He unsuccessfully tries catching the Ninjalinos attempting to steal it until Catboy and Owlette appear and stop them. The ninjas leave afterwards. Gekko is annoyed that his friends keep looking after him and believes that it resulted in the Ninja Bus getting away. Despite their attempts to say otherwise, he ignores them and drives off, adamant that he can defeat Night Ninja alone.
The Gekko-Mobile and Ninja Bus soon arrive at the school. Gekko gets ready to take on the vehicle, but after seeing the Ninjalinos with their Sticky Splats and all the ninja accessories on there advancing towards him, he begins to doubt defeating it. Catboy and Owlette, who have spotted the two vehicles, jump in to save him. However, the Ninjalinos sticky-splat Catboy to the school wall and push Owlette away, tangling her in her cape.
Gekko becomes excited to hear that his friends need help, but when they tell him that this is what friends do, he soon realizes that they were actually looking out for him so they could help him. Determined to do the same, he advances towards the Ninja Bus and uses the Gekko-Mobile Swing-and-Fling feature to throw it upwards. He catches it with his Super Gekko Muscles and shakes the ninjas off. Unfortunately, they approach his vehicle to steal it as their own instead. He calls his friends for help, who eventually free themselves.
Catboy and Owlette defeat the Ninjalinos while Gekko faces off Night Ninja. Due to him not knowing how the Gekko-Mobile works, though, Night Ninja is shot out after pressing a button on the control panel. He accepts his defeat, and the ninjas retreat. Gekko asks Catboy and Owlette to help him return the bus back to normal, and the PJ Masks proclaim their signature victory phrase.
The next day, the class arrives at school in the now-normal school bus. This time, Greg decides to let his friends help him grab any out-of-reach books he needs instead of jumping for them. He then provides a list of things they can also help him out with. Connor and Amaya laugh as the three enter the school grounds, ending the episode.
