Synopsis

The episode starts off with Connor, Amaya, and Greg heading over to see the lizard-themed party setup for Greg’s birthday tomorrow. As they do so, Connor proclaims he’s going to have a Master Fang-themed birthday party when he sees the decorations. Arriving at the library, the lizard-themed decorations are ruined and the lizard birthday cake stolen. Left behind are Ninjalino footprints. Connor offers using the Master Fang decorations in place of the lizard ones, but Greg refuses, Amaya adding on how upset he is.

That night, the PJ Masks take the Gekko-Mobile into town. As Catboy mentions the thought of having a Master Fang-themed party, Gekko hits the brakes upon seeing the Ninjalinos with his cake running in front of him. The team follows them on foot to the alleyway where the ninjas are celebrating Night Ninja’s apparent birthday with Gekko’s lizard party decorations. The Ninjalinos place the cake in a cage.

Gekko begins confronting Night Ninja when Catboy interrupts, betting that the team can win a party game. He wants to play “Blind Man’s Bluff,” though Night Ninja wants to play “Pass the Parcel” as it’s his party, so he leaves, but not before telling Owlette and Gekko to play while he gets the cake. Night Ninja explains the rules: the players pass the gift around as the music (provided by the Ninjalinos) plays until it stops. The one who has it opens a layer.

After Night Ninja cheats on the game by having his Ninjalinos stop singing when he receives the parcel, he opens it to reveal a talking miniature figurine of himself. He soon notices that Catboy has snuck in to grab the cake and orders his Ninjalinos to catch the team. During the chase, Catboy notices the Master Fang birthday cake and tries to focus Gekko’s attention on it. Gekko and Owlette ignore it since he doesn’t need it for his birthday and continue running.

Reluctant, Catboy starts joining the others, but is held back by a sticky splat grabber string placed by the Ninjalinos while he was distracted, and is flung back into the alleyway. Night Ninja grabs the cake from him and gives it to the Ninjalinos to return it to the cage. After the team helps Catboy down, he requests another party game unless Night Ninja is scared of being defeated. He responds that they’ll play “Musical Chairs,” the prize being Master Fang balloons, which excites him, but annoys Owlette and Gekko.

This time, Gekko volunteers to lose first so he can get his cake while Catboy and Owlette play with the warning that they cannot win. Owlette snaps Catboy back to reality for his confirmation. Night Ninja instructs the players to run around the chairs as the music’s playing until it stops. The one left standing is out. He also adds that if anyone doesn’t let him win, then he’ll drop the cake.

Everything goes as planned; after Gekko is out, he sneaks over to get his cake. Owlette is the next one to lose. The last round starts; the Ninjalinos tie the balloon strings together and trip Catboy. Before Night Ninja can sit down, however, despite the reminders to let him win, Catboy speeds over to sit down, claiming that the Master Fang balloons would be great for Gekko’s birthday party. He then unintentionally reveals Gekko retrieving his cake to Night Ninja. The Ninjalinos jump on the cage, causing Gekko to drop his cake, but Owlette catches it, and after Catboy grabs the Master Fang balloons, the team runs off.

Owlette and Gekko are annoyed at Catboy for almost costing the lizard cake, especially since Gekko is having a lizard-themed birthday party. Catboy just focuses on showing them what the Master Fang balloons can do until he lets them go because he sees something that the ninjas have: the Master Fang birthday cake. Night Ninja is willing to trade it for the lizard cake. Much to Gekko’s dismay, Catboy accepts. Worse, it turns out to be a trick.

Night Ninja presses a decoration on the cake, and each icing swirl starts to light up. He reveals the cake to be a Sticky Splat and Whipped Cream Splatto Cake, which will explode once all of the icing swirls turn blue. As everyone will try to clean the whipped cream everywhere, they’ll be stuck on the Sticky Splats. Catboy finally realizes his behavior and apologizes. He fortunately has a plan for the cake.

A few moments later, after returning to the alleyway, before Night Ninja can blow out the candle on Gekko’s cake, the ninjas run out to see the team playing a musical chair variation with the Gekko-Mobile. Thinking that it’s another party game, he jumps inside and closes the music and the dome to win. His victory is short-lived when he sees the Master Fang cake upon hearing beeping sounds. All of the icing swirls light up, and it explodes, covering him in whipped cream and Sticky Splats.

As everyone laughs, Catboy grabs the lizard cake from the Ninjalinos before Night Ninja chases them and gives it to Gekko, who then voice commands the Gekko-Mobile to clean itself. The PJ Masks proclaim their signature victory phrase. The next day, as everyone celebrates Greg’s birthday with the lizard-themed party setup restored, Greg gives Connor a couple of Master Fang balloons. Connor lists what Master Fang-related decorations he’s going to have for his birthday, and the kids laugh as the episode ends.
